Gold Pan Complex – Bitterroot National Forest (MT)

Date Started:  9/5/13

New fires reported in area:  5 new fires in the Bitterroot National Forest.  Resources have reached 3 of the fires and putting them out.  2 others are in steep terrain, firefighters are in midst of responding to location.  Possibly by lightning.  Reports of over 2500 lightning strikes on Wednesday from a thunderstorm.

Fire Status:  Gold Pan Complex.  Cooler temps.  1/2 in rain fell.  Fire burning along Idaho-MT border in Frank Church wilderness.

Resources: 80 personnel.  7 engines. 2 helos.
