Kelley Fire – Sawtooth National Fire (ID)

Date Fire Started:  8/24/13 started about 10 acres from thunderstorm/lightning.

Acres burned:  17,089.

Location:  7 miles SE of Featherville, ID.

Fire Status:  Crews have made excellent progress on a containment line along the western northern and southwestern edge of the fire. Crews will continue to steadily patrol and secure the line. Concerted efforts will continue on the eastern edge as crews construct direct line in the Boardman Creek Drainage. Fireline rehabilitation efforts have begun to lesson the effect of suppression tactics on the land.

65% contained.

Resources:  470 personnel.  7 Helos.  13 Engines.  5 Water Tenders.
