The Washington DOT reports that Hwy 410 was closed at 2100 hours PDT on Thursday due to heavy rains and mud slides in the area, located 20 miles West of Naches.

Crews are currently accessing the conditions, roadway and are in the midst of cleanup.  They say it may take a few days.

A detour on the Nile Loop Road is in place to help drivers navigate away from the scene while the DOT works on clearing the roadway.

Over 2100 cubic feet of yard debris toppled on to the highway.
