Evergreen National Park [FL] – A fire was discovered around 1400 hours on 3/5/14, just West of the Shark Valley Visitor Use area.  The fire located in the Everglades / Big cypress boundary, approximately 6 miles South Highway 41 Cape Sable Seaside in the Sparro Habitat Sub Pop A.

It was determined to be human-caused and had burned over 300 acres.

Currently, there are 20 personnel on scene fighting the fire.

It was considered 60-perscent contained.
