Signal WildFire – Gila National Forest

Near Silver City, NM | On midnight of May 11, 2014, a human-caused wildfire occurred 10 miles North of Silver City in the Gila National Forest.  

The Fire has grown from 3,000 on Sunday, May 11 to 4,700 acres today with no percentage of containment.

There are currently 507 fire personnel on scene.  Multiple Handcrews, Engines, Air Resources are working the fire.

The terrain is difficult with the fire burning in timber and a grass underlay.
