Los Angeles Firefighters were dispatched to a pedestrian who was hit by a motor vehicle in the 4000 block of Sapphire Drive around 1900 hours this evening.

Firefighters worked tirelessly to treat their young patient who was transported to a pre-determined LZ at Lanai Road Elementary to be flown by a @LAFD Air Ambulance to a nearby local Trauma Center.

The unnamed pediatric patient was listed in serious condition.
