The Coronado National Forest just released information on a new wildfire dubbed Guadalupe Fire, discovered this morning around 1000 hours at 50 acres.

The fire is located 30 miles East of the Douglas Ranger District located in Douglas, Arizona in the Coronado National Forest, located in Hildalgo County, New Mexico.

Fire fuel is mostly grass and brush burning around the bottom of the Guadalupe Mountains.
At mid-day, the fire activity became somewhat active causing the fire to consume additional land and on the eastern flank moving to the northwest.
A Type 3 ICS team is in place.
Resources are currently 1 HOTshot crew, 1 initial attack crew, 2 engines and 1 air attack platform.
The cause of this fire is under investigation.
