Incident Summary

A wildfire is burning off of Mount Aukum Road near Grizzly Plat in CAL Fire’s Amador – El Dorado’s area that was ignited on Friday around 1241 Hours.

Command

The Fire is being managed by CAL Fire Amador – El Dorado Unit.

Evacuations

Voluntary evacuations are currently in effect on the East side of Sand Ridget and bucks Bar Road to Mount Aukum Road.

Fire Status

The fire has consumed 45 acres but firefighters have successfully gained 25% containment status.

There is a moderate rate of spread which are the results of firefighters making good progress on the fire.

The cause is unknown at this time.

There have been no injuries or damage to structures reported.
