Incident Summary | A wildfire is burning off of Highway 198 and Alcade Road, just South of Coalinga (Fresno County), California that started on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 1311 hours PDT.
Resources | Resources responding / on-scene to the fire incident are: CAL FIRE San Diego, Escondido Fire and Fresno County Fire. Sources say, more resources are being called from surrounding Counties.
Closures | CAL FIRE reports that Highway 198 is closed from Coaling West to the Monterey County line.
Current Update | Fire is moving quickly. There is a 0% containment status. Firefighters are working in steep and rugged terrain. 3000+ acres have been destroyed. Fire is having long-range spotting.
