FRESNO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA

Incident Summary | A wildfire is burning off of Highway 198 and Alcade Road, just South of Coalinga (Fresno County), California that started on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 1311 hours PDT.    The cause is under investigation.

Incident Cooperators |  Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, Fresno County OES, PG&E, BLM, Red Cross, California Highway Patrol are listed as Incident Cooperators for this incident.

Staffing | There are 539 firefighters, along with and 18 fire crews currently on fire operations.

Equipment | In addition to staffing, equipment on-site includes, but is not limited to:  50 fire engines, 2 helicopters, 11 bulldozers and 5 water tenders.

Current Update | As of 1830 PST this evening, the forward spread has been stopped and remaining crews will conduct burnout operations of unburned fuels in the interior of the perimeter.  About 10,300 acres have been burned.  Fire crews have successfully reached a 70% containment status.  UPDATE | The fire has now been contained to 75% as of Saturday, May 20th.

Closures | CAL FIRE reports that Highway 198 is closed from Coaling West to the Monterey County line.

Current Update | Fire is moving quickly.  There is a 0% containment status. Firefighters are working in steep and rugged terrain.  3000+ acres have been destroyed.  Fire is having long-range spotting.

Sacata Fire | California | Update 2

INCIDENT SUMMARY

Date Start/Time

 The wildfire started on 10/11/2016 @ 1:00 PM PDT.

Cause

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

Location

The wildfire is burning in the Sierra National Forest  on the Sacata Ridge. North of Pine Flat Reservoir and about 2 miles from Cold Springs Rancheria, California (Fresno County).  It is located in a remote area.

Size – Containment Status

The fire has reached 1959 acres and a 71% containment status.

Future Fire Activities

Fire crews will continue to shore up containment lines.  Heavy rain is due to hit the area helping increase the containment status.

California’s Green Wildfire | New! | July 15, 2016

INCIDENT SUMMARY

A wildfire is burning off of Auberry Rd & White Thorne Rd near Prather (Fresno County), California that started this evening from an unknown ignition source.

COMMAND

The incident is being managed by the CAL Fire Fresno County Fire Unit.

FIRE STATUS

The fire is currently 123 acres in size and has reached a 10% containment status.  Forward progression has been stopped.

Evacuations are in progress for the  White Thorne, Dry Pond, Hokes Corner Lane and Wellbarn Road communities.  The evacuation shelter is located at the Foothill Middle School, 29147 Auberry Road in Prather California.
