Oregon Wildfire: #ShanikoFire

SHANIKO, Ore. – A wildfire was reported and dispatched by the Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center for fire resources to respond to Shaniko, a city located in Wasco County and about 8 miles north of Antelope with a population of 30 or less.

The fire is also known as the 0296 RN fire.

Resources included BC 22 and E628 which were dispatched at 1819 hours PDT.

Limited details are known about this wildfire as to the cause or other fire assets assigned to the incident.

We do know that 50 acres were destroyed.
