UPDATE 1 – AUGUST 17, 2018 – FRIDAY
A wildfire ignited by lightning on Friday, August 17, 2018, in the Black Mountain Springs area or 17 miles West of Elgin, Oregon.
Fire resources were dispatched today through the Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center around 1623 hours PDT. Resources were said to be en route or on-scene.
There has been one acre of grass and light timber reportedly as scorched.
