UPDATE 1 – JULY 23, 2021 – PM UPDATE

The CHRISTENSEN FIRE is burning about 10 miles northeast of Wisdom and 12 miles west of Wise River, Montana in the Beaverhead-Deer Lodge of the U.S. National Forest. It started on July 16, 2021, from an unknown cause that is under investigation.

Command will be the SW IMT Team 1’s IC Sinclair. They will manage the following CHRISTENSEN, ALDER CREEK and TRAIL CREEK FIRES.

Incident Cooperators — SW Fire Consortium, SW IMT1, SWCC,

Current fire behavior is active with uphill runs and wind-driven runs. It is backing into the Toomey Creek drainage.

There has been 214 acres of unknown fire fuels that have been scorched. There is only one person assigned to this incident.

Containment is currently at a zero-percent. Expected containment is said to be around November 1, 2021.

Cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts at $38,000.
