A small brush fire to be four to five acres in size, is burning in the foothills, west of Ken Caryl Valley in Jefferson County, Colorado.No structures are under threat and no evacuation orders are known at this time.
Multiple agencies have been dispatched to this incident, which includes West Metro Fire (Lakewood), Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District (Colorado), Elk Creek FD (Conifer), and the Indian Hills FD.
Staging is located at Intercanyon Fire.
Structure protection in place and in effect.
Helicopters and State MMA aircraft are on order.
The fire was detected/started almost one hour ago (1410 hours PT).
