Incident Summary: An escaped fire from a debris pile began spreading around 1536 hours PT on Saturday, 1/22/2022 on Lowden Lane off of Hwy 49, west of Nevada City in California.

Current Status:
This human-caused fire has been fully contained to 1.6 acres with the aid of CAL FIRE’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit, Nevada County Consolidated Fire, Grass Valley City Fire, Ophir Hill FD, and the North San Juan Fire Department.
Structure protection was in effect for the 10000 block of Monte Vista Court.
Size Up: Approximately, 3 acres with an unknown containment status.

07/18/2021: Dixie Fire burned west of the Beckworth Complex.
08/19/2020: The Jones Fire. 650 acres burned. The containment status was downgraded from 15% to 5%. Smoke in the sky and ash on the ground fell in the area due to mostly other CA wildfires burning in the area.
