A 3-alarm fire is burning in the 100 block of North Street in Portland, Maine with the Fire Department reporting heavy fire on the 3rd floor of a multi-unit dwelling.

Multiple agencies responded into the City to help with station coverage to maintain current service levels. The second alarm was struck at 0016 hours PT after crews arrived at the heavy fire in the dwelling on all floors of the structure in several units.

Recall of 3rd Alarm and Off-Duty firefighters were issued on 0042 hours PT. Mutual aid from Falmouth, Westbrook, South Portland, and Cumberland was requested or en route at 0330 hours.

Reports of power outages in the Cumberland County area is impacting approximately 3,500-plus customers on the Portland Peninsula.
