Incident Summary

A brush fire prompted the closure of the popular Kuakini Hwy in Kailua-Kona between Oni Oni Street and Nakukui Drive today as Hawaii FD firefighters were using a portion of the roadway to fight the fire. This is located on the island of Hawaii.

The fire was reported to have broken out on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 1400 hours Hawaii time.
