SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON – A salvage yard full of wrecked cars went up in flames on Saturday night in the 16700 block of 51st Avenue, just south of 172nd in the city limits of Arlington. Fire resources, A47, L48, and T90 were dispatched at 2028 hours PT.
According to sources, the reporting party called in to say flames were between six-to-seven feet high.
Arlington/Stanwood Firefighters (IAFF Local 3438) units arrived with Ladder 48 arrived on the scene with flames visible and reporting multiple cars on fire at the Copart Auto Salvage yard. Tender 90 was requested to assist with the water supply.
The fire was brought under control around 2106 hours PT.
Limited information was released from Fire Officials. We definitely know these were some intense and dangerous fire conditions firefighters faced.
