MICO, TX — A wildfire ignited grass and timber on March 25, 2022, at an unknown time.

The fire has consumed 214 acres. Currently, fire resources have reached a 60% containment status.

The cause of the fire was a vehicle fire.

Current resources include 1 TIFMAS Strike Team, 1 Texas Forest Service Task Force with 2 dozers, 1 heavy copter, 1 air attack, 3 Type-6 engines and 2 water tenders.

Drew Liddell (TFS) and Clint cook (Medina County) are in Unified Command.

Fire weather reports indicate sustained high winds and low RH, making it prime conditions for future fire starts.
