MICO, TX — A wildfire ignited grass and timber on March 25, 2022, around 1700 hours CDT in Mico, Texas, which was caused by a car fire.

The fire had consumed 214 acres during our last reporting and resources had a 60% containment status. On Monday, they have reached a new milestone of 95% containment but the fire has considerably destroyed additional land for a total of 1,092 acres.

There is still 23 fire personnel assigned to this incident the fire behavior is still active with flanking and spotting.
