MICO, TX — A car fire spread into an urban-wildland interface, sparking a wildfire in prime conditions which included warm, dry, and windy conditions on March 25, 2022, around 1700 hours CDT.
Today, the fire has gutted 1,092 acres of tall grass and brush and crews have reached a 95% containment status. Fire behavior has been reduced down to minimal activity with creeping and smoldering. There are some reported heat signatures near the east and north ends of the fire line.
There is still 29 total fire personnel assigned to this incident.
