There is a wildfire named the PATTON FIRE, which is burning bout 5 miles southeast of Falcon (El Paso County), and 3.7 miles northwest of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and is being reported as human-caused.
This fire ignited on April 10, 2022, and resources were dispatched at 1919 hours MDT.
It is currently 38 acres of grass in size with an unknown containment status. There is a minimal to low chance this fire will increase in the next 24 hours.
As of 1700 hours PT, weather conditions are reporting in with temps at 50*F, a dewpoint of 28%, and winds blowing eight (8) mph.
A RED FLAG WARNING was issued by the NWS for Denver/Boulder (4/11/2022 0815 MDT) and for the Pueblo area (4/11/2022 0819 MDT). Additionally, for the Pueblo area, a High Wind Warning was issued on 4/11/2022 at 0820 MDT.
