GERMANY — Multiple wildfires have been reported to have broken out in several different areas of the country. There does not appear to be any official wildfire incident names so we are naming them as they are discovered.
BEELITZ-HEILSTATTEN FIRE
The Beelitz-Heilstatten area is currently 300 acres and evacuations are in effect.
Farmers are said to be supporting emergency services in the area of Brandenburg by delivering water tenders. Firefighters from Berlin will soon be arriving as mutual aid to local first responders on the fire line.
Structure protection is currently in effect.
Air support includes two Bundeswehr CH-53 helcopters.
Staging area is located at Hans-Joachim von Zieten Barracks.
