Another wildfire named the SARDINE FIRE is burning in the State of Utah already touched by multiple fire incidents, ignited not long ago this evening. It is located along the US 91 at milepost 16, about three miles from Logan Utah. The right lane of SB US 91 is closed.

Resources began responding and arrived on the scene just before 1600 hours PT. It was listed as a 5-10 acre wildfire with structures threatened.

There is a 0% containment status.

Evacuations are in effect for those on the south end of the Cache Valley near the mouth of Sardine Canyon in Cache County, Utah.

Fire behavior was observed as actively running.

As of 1844 hours PT, fire aviation spotters show on radar, three SEATs and a Blackhawk are working over the fire line.

Other wildfires burning in the state are THE JACOB CITY, DRY CREEK, and the HALFWAY HILL FIRES.

About 40-plus firefighters are on the scene and assigned to this incident, and are currently being aided by air resources.
