Fire Chief Dr. Reginald Freeman with the Oakland Fire Department officially appointed and participated in their Department’s ceremony of installing their newest first-ever female African-American Fire Marsha, Chief Felician Wanzo-Bryant on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
This is a historic moment for her Fire Department, family, friends, communities she serves in, and most of all – the young girls who watch her reach her amazing accomplishments and push past all of the barriers that try to stop her in her tracks.
These young women are inspired, empowered, encouraged, and confident in knowing they too, can reach up to the stars to achieve their wildest of all dreams.
