A wildfire broke out this afternoon, in a remote location south of Wilderville in the Oregon Department of Forestry’s southwest district near Grants Pass (Josephine County) Oregon.

ODF has sent both of their Type 2 helicopters and a Type 3 Helitack crew to the scene, while other engines and additional resources are en route to the area.
ODF’s Tanker 104 (Erickson Aero Tanker) has been activated and is responding from the Medford Tanker Base.
The fire is estimated to be about three-quarters of a mile acre in size and has a zero percent containment status.
No word on the cause has been determined or released as of yet.
