A major landslide in the Mount St. Helena area on SR 29, prompted the CHP and the Caltrans District to close the roadway between Calistoga and the Lake County line due to the roadway being partially blocked and unsafe for drivers to pass.

Since the original winter storms hit the California area, with snow dropping feet over some areas to the weather warming up and causing snow to melt to flooding, first responders have been exceptionally busy with incidents such as these.
Just a few days ago on March 15th, SR121 and SR12 in Sonoma were closed due to flooding.
