Fraud Alert
With so many wildfires burning, a large fire personnel and equipment response is needed to help suppress and contain these large firestorms. Here is a summary of these resources either to be dispatched en route or are on the fire line as well as other Incident Cooperators (Governmental, Humanitarian, First Responders, Emergency Management, etc.):

Halifax Regional Municipality, Mayor Mike Savage – Arson investigations continue. Please for people to stop with outside burnings, issues State of Emergency.
Premier of Nova Scotia, Tim Houston – Support being given to residents, small businesses, first responders, and many more.
RCMP Nova Scotia – As of this morning, they are investigating three arson fires in Pictou County. Presser: rcmp-grc.ca/127571
Cape Breton Regional Police – Two people have been charged for burning fires after a burning ban went into place and have been issued two $25,000 fines.

FIRE RESPONSE
U.S. Firefighters from New York and New Hampshire resources on order will be arriving on Saturday, June 3, 2023, as part of mutual aid. Wildfires across the country have been attributed to natural causes, as well as arson, making this one of the most historical Fire Seasons.

Bridger Aerospace (Montana) – 6 SuperScoopers, and 1 Pilatus PC-12 have safely landed as of 1900 hours PDT.
This Fire agency is 100% managed and operated by volunteers. They are supporting their local communities, as well as other hard-hit areas due to major firestorms.

NOTABLE WILDFIRES
Barrington Lake Fire | The wildfire is still considered out-of-control and is burning near Barrington Lake in Shelburne County, Nova Scotia. It is 23,015 hectares. About 90 fire personnel from the Department of National Resources and Renewables, alongside 40 volunteer/municipal firefighters and five copters, one water bomber from Newfoundland and Labrador, and heavy equipment are all assigned to this incident.

Lake Road Fire | The Lake Road Fire is burning in the Municipality of the District of Shelburne. It is listed as an out-of-control fire which is approximately 114 ha in size. 15 DNRR firefighters are on the fire line working to suppress the fire.
Pubnico Fire | This fire is located in Yarmouth County and is another out-of-control fire. It is 163 ha. 20 DNRR firefighters along with air and heavy equipment which is being shared with three other wildfire incidents in this and Shelburne counties.
Westwood Hills Fire | Located in Tantallon is estimated at 950 ha and with a 50% containment status. 40 DNRR, 100 from Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), and nine from the Department of National Defence. Air resources are five copters, one water bomber from Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as other heavy equipment like dozers.
