INCIDENT SUMMARY:

A wildfire named the Gann fire is burning near Hogan Dam Road and Quartz Hill Road in Valley Springs (Calvera County) in the State of California which ignited today at 1235 hours PDT.

The cause is unknown and under investigation.

CURRENT STATUS:

The fire behavior is active and has a moderate rate of spread to the south/east direction with crowning and observed spotting. It is currently threatening structures and prompting road closures in the area. The access and terrain continue to hamper suppression and containment efforts.

Additional aircraft and resources are on order.

There have been about j82 acres burned so far and the fire is still at a 0% containment status.
