The RABBIT FIRE is still listed as an out-of-control wildfire which is burning in the area of Alessandro Blvd. and Jack Rabbit Trail in Lakeview (Riverside County), and east of Moreno Valley in California.

The fire broke out from an unknown cause on Friday, July 14, 2023, and was reported at 1526 PT and has been spreading at an all-high time level, prompting evacuation warnings, orders, and challenges for firefighters.

There are a total of 315 personnel alongside five air tankers, air attack, 10 water tenders, four copters, 15 overhead personnel, 40 engines, and 12 crews those with the EMD, FIU, Police, and a PIO are shown assigned to this incident.

The fire jumped Hwy 79 just after 1500 hours this afternoon and caused a flurry of actions by Fire Officials to protect ground resources, air assets, and those who may be in the fire perimeter.
