As of 1800 hours, the Smokey Point Blvd. area was closed.
This is the belief by Fire Officials that no structures were burned in the vicinity, where the fire burned intensely.
As of 1953 hours PT, the WSDOT is reporting traffic is getting through the area where the fire scorched brush but there is a minimum of a three-mile backup. For anyone who has driven through this area on a regular basis, knows traffic is slow through here, even without any incidents. Please back your patience and don’t road rage or tailgate other cars.
