The fire has burned about 12,213 acres of timber (litter/understory), closed timber litter, and brush (2′) with a 5% containment status. The current fire behavior has been observed as active with torching, uphill, and short crown runs. It burned actively on Friday in Jones, Alder, and Hehe Creek drainages due to high temps, gusty winds, and steep slopes.

There are about 754 total personnel, which had an increase of 54 since yesterday’s fire update. This includes about 13 crews, 40 engines, and 10 air assets.

The NW Team 13, an IMT Type 2 will be transferring their command on Monday, August 7, 2023, to another same type of unit, but this will be the NW Team 10. They are currently mobilizing.

The cost-to-date for fire suppression and containment efforts has reached $14.5 Million Dollars.
