1600 block of Gateway Blvd, Lacey (Thurston County). The call was dispatched on 9/16/2023 at 1806 hours PDT. 1.2 acres of grass, brush, and timber have been burned. WA DNR is assisting local FD units. Resources include E8201, 8203, and 8207. IC: Reed, M. Open/active scene.
ROCK QUARRY FIRE – Incident #SPS-306
Rock Quarry Rd and Green Mountain Street (Forested area). The call was dispatched at 1414 hours on 9/16/2023. 4 acres of shrub, timber, slash, and understory fuels have been destroyed. WA DNR resources are on the scene. Resources include BOATLER CACHE-BF DOZER-2 E8304 E8306 E8308 E8312 LANGAKER and SHAFTO. Open/active scene.

EAGLE POINT FIRE – Near Eagle Point
This fire is burning about five miles near Obstruction Point Road.
The fire started on 8/28/2023 from a lightning strike below the Hurricane Ridge parking lot. It would cause multiple access roadways to be closed due to the large fire incident.
Today, the wildfire has burned about 127 acres. It still remains at a 0% containment status.
(Left) Eagle Point Fire on 9/2/2023. According to the Olympic National Park which took this photo, the wildfire had exploded with increased fire behavior. It had significant growth causing more area roadways to be closed.
Several posted on Social Media, that the smoke from the Olympics could be seen as far as away in Sequim.

MARTINS LAKE FIRE – Near Martins Lake
30 acres. 0% contained as of 9/15/203.
HURRICANE FIRE – Near Hurricane Ridge
4 acres. 95% contained as of Friday.
LOW DIVIDE FIRE – S. of Mount Seattle
91 acres. 0% contained as of Friday, 9/15/2023.
DIAMOND MOUNTAIN FIRE – W of Diamond Mtn.
29 acres. 0% containment. Minimal fire behavior.
DELABARRE FIRE – Delabarre Creek Drainage
The Delabarre Fire started from lightning and had significantly increased fire behavior today due to low relative humidity levels and warm temps.
This is after having low fire activity in the last few days but instead decided to increase today.
According to Fire Officials, it has grown a lot.
It is now estimated to be at 400-500 acres but tomorrow an air recon flight will take place to attempt to gain a more accurate count of acreage burned to be added to the new operational map. There are no threats to structures, therefore, no evacuation orders are in place as of this post.
