MARYSVILLE, WASHINGTON (USA) — This morning at 0300 hours, a Washington State Patrol Trooper lost his life after being struck by a motorist in the southbound lane of I-5 near 136th Street North in Marysville (Snohomish County).

WSP is hosting a press conference with updates regarding their fallen trooper today at 1330 hours at the District 7 office at 2700 116th Street NE in Marysville, Washington.

There are currently a lot of resources still at the scene and will be for several more hours, the Washington State Patrol PIO has released.

Limited information is being released by the State Law Enforcement agency.

We are greatly saddened by this tragic news and are asking you all to keep those who are still on the job and the Trooper’s family, fellow Troopers, and communities impacted by their death in your thoughts and prayers.
