FIRE UPDATE 1: MONDAY, JULY 1, 2024, 1745 HOURS PT

INCIDENT SUMMARY. A wildfire named the HILLMAN ROAD FIRE is burning in the area of Hillman and Marble Roads in Yakima (Yakima County), Washington State. Some fire agencies are calling it the HILLMAN ROAD FIRE, while the Yakima Valley EMA is not calling it by name and WA DNR is listing it as the MARBLE FIRE. We are using all of the names to keep this all in one house.

  • From Rocky Top Road to Summitview Road
  • Extension from Summitview Road to Summitview Road
  • Extension from Summitview Road to Mahre Road

An evacuation map is located below released by the Yakima County Emergency Management Agency and telling residents and folks to GO NOW! for Level 3 evacuations that have been taking place within the last hour. Multiple law enforcement agencies are assisting with evacuating from various areas.

CURRENT STATUS. A fast-moving wildfire is spreading rapidly and already one structure has been reported as being lost. Fire and Law Enforcement resources are pouring in from around the area and we would not be surprised if this goes State Mobe.

Evacuations are in effect. Please listen to all Fire, Police, and emergency personnel to leave at once because the lives of your family, pets, and livestock may depend on it.

The fire has burned about 100 acres and there is not a current known containment status at the time of this first update.
