County Line Fire | September 1, 2024 | 0850 PT

KOOTENAI COUNTY, IDAHO — The County Line Fire broke out on Saturday, August 31, 2024, located two miles northwest of Plummer.

As of 1924 hours last night, fire crews had installed hose lays, aircraft dropped water and evacuation orders were lifted.

The fire has burned approximately 150 acres and had a 40% containment status.

Many of the resources that responded to this wildfire were on another incident called the Mowry Fire, which is near this secondary fire. When this fire broke out, they were redeployed and moved several fire engines, a water tender, two bulldozers, and two crews.

Incident Cooperators include the ID Department of Lands, Kootenai County OEM, and the US National Weather Service – Spokane, Washington.
