Bryant Street Command

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — Firefighters with the LAFD are on the scene of a residential structure fire on Sunday evening, in the 19000 block of W. Bryant Street in the Northridge area.

A well-involved auto fire in a carport extended to the first floor of a two-story garden-style apartment building, firefighters are in the offensive mode.

About 32 firefighters from various units include FS 103; Batt 15; Valley Bureau; Council District 12; BC15 BC9 E103 E104 E107 E275 E296 RA104 RA903 T75 T96; CH9 and 15.

The fire has been knocked down and was put out in 15 minutes and after checking for an extension, they found none to the building. Due to egressing quickly on the building, they prevented the fire from spreading to other floors and nearby exposure buildings in the area.

No injuries were reported.
