SIT REP 1: July 27, 2025, Sunday @ 1830 PT

The TURNER GULCH FIRE is located eight (8) miles northeast of Gateway, Colorado, and has been burning dormant brush, slash, and timber.
Management of the fire has been under the command of the Rocky Mountain Team 1, a CIMT, which will return to a local team on Monday, July 28, 2025. This CIMT is also managing another incident, the WRIGHT DRAW FIRE.
The Lead Fire Agency is the Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
Approximately 441 total personnel are assigned to nine (9) crews, 13 engines, and five helicopters.
About 19,139 acres have been burned, and there is a 54% containment status.
Moderate fire behavior has been observed with flanking, backing, and creeping.
Homes are still being threatened, which are keeping evacuation orders, area, road, and trail closures in effect. Three have been lost as of this update.
The cost to date has reached 13.5 Million Dollars.
