CLEVELAND, Oklahoma

A wildfire named the Dues Fire  is burning about one mile northeast of Cleveland, Oklahoma in timber, short grass and brush in the area managed by the Osage Agency of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA).

Fire behavior consists of moderate fire with backing, creeping and smoldering.

There has been 2,484 acres scorched and fire crews have reached a 95% containment status.

There are 11 total personnel which include two engines.

One structure was lost.  The total cost-to-date of fire suppression and containment expenses equal to approximately $13,000.00.

The cause is unknown at this time.

Summary:  2 large noteworthy fires that are now 100% contained were the Crutch Complex in Texas burned 44,686 acres destroying 4 structures.  This was on Private Land.  The Millis Swamp Fire in North Carolina was an extremely expensive fire topping out at a Cost-to-Date of $200,000 for the Forest Service.

PL 2:  SOUTHWEST AREA

There were 42 fires reported in this area with one considered as a large incident and is considered as not contained.  There are current two fires burning.

Baker Canyon:  28 miles NE of Douglas, AZ.  Gila District Office, BLM. Tall grass and brush. Moderate fire behavior. Structures threatened. Last report unless significant activity occurs. 6800 Acres.  15% Containment. 82 Personnel.  2 Crews.  4 Engines. 1 Helicopter.  $213,000 Cost-to-Date.

Boss Ranch:  19 miles NE of Douglas, AZ. Coronado NF. Tall grass and brush. No new information. Last report unless new information is received. 1253 Acres.  98% Containment.  12 Personnel.  2 Engines. 1 Helicopter.  No Cost-to-Date known.

Fire Representatives reported 4 new fires in this area.  1 was considered as a large incident. 1 fire is currently burning.
