BALDY FIRE :  6 miles NW of Ione in the Colville National Forest started on 8/1/15 at 1530 PDT.  Burning in heavy timber.  535 acres reaching a 48% containment.  Assets being threatened:  Powerlines East & South of the fire, Private Property, Fish Habitat, Timber and Structures.  Currently, 3 Type 1 Crews, 5 Type 2 Crews, 3 Engines, 1 Type 1 Helicopter, 1 Type 2 Helicopter, 1 Type Helicopter along with 2 Air Attack Platforms are on the fire ground.  2 Dozers and 5 Water Tenders are also present amongst the 370 personnel on this fire incident.

COUGAR CREEK:  This is another fire that started this week due to lightning.  This fire is located on land protected by the Yakama Indian Nation, DNR and the USFS, approximately 6 miles NW of Glenwood.  It started approximately 0600 on August 12, 2015.  242 Personnel are on the fire ground working their way through medium logging slash, tall grass and timber.  Fire has been crowning with long-range spotting. More thunderstorms are expected in the area. 0% containment.

GISH FIRE:  This fire has 3 fires under its name that began on August 9, 2015.  This fire [Complex] is located 14 miles SE of Centralia in an area of light slash.  The cause is unknown at this time.  It has burned 700 acres with Fire crews reaching a 50% containment around the fire.  However, structures and homes are still being threatened.  The fire is currently smoldering and has a min fire rate of spread.

PARADISE FIRE:  13 miles N / NE of Quinault in the Olympic National Park started on May 15, 2015 at 1500 PDT.  It has reached 2425 acres. Smoke from this fire is impacting the Pennisula area and reaching Southeastern Oregon.  88 total fires reported in the NW alone. 48 Personnel are on this incident and have reached a successful 30% containment around the fire.

RUTTER CANYON FIRE:  The Rutter Canyon fire is located 2 miles N of Spokane and began on Tuesday, August 11, 2015.  The cause is unknown but some of our sources are saying it is being reported as “Suspicious”.  We are unable to confirm the cause at this time. It is now at 150 acres with a 0% containment line. Fire Managers are reporting extreme fire behavior of short crown runs, group torching, and short-range spotting. Residences and structures are still being threatened.  Evacuations are still in effect along with road closures.

RYE FIRE: The Rye Fire started on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, by lightning.  It is located 8 miles of Anatone.  Currently it is at 400 acres with a 0% containment status.. It is listed as having active fire behavior.

SEVEN SPRINGS FIRE:  The Seven Springs Fire has been officially 100% contained, which doesn’t necessary mean it is “completely” out.  The fire started on Monday, August 10th, burning in grass and brush.  Fire Investigators are not reporting a cause, as it is listed as “unknown”.  It had burned 542 acres.

STOCKPIN FIRE: This “New” fire started on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 around 1400 PDT presumably by lightning.  It is burning in a remote area and Inciweb is reporting that Fire Managers are discussing Indirect tactics as there’s no good access or escape routes for firefighters so there is no suppression on the fire.  The fire is located between Profanity Peak and Ryan Hill in the Republic Ranger District in Ferry County.  50 Personnel are on this incident with 0% containment. The fire has now burned 3,000 acres.  More expected Thunderstorms are in the weather forecast tomorrow.

WOLVERINE:  This fire has been burning since it originally started on June 29, 2015 around 0730 PDT, approximately 3 miles NW of Lucerne in the Chelan Ranger District.  Now, there are 544 personnel whom have a successful 20% containment line around the fire.  However, the fire is still active, torching and flanking.  Branches 1, 2 are providing Structure Protection for 25-mile area and have a Spike camp nearby.  Lake Branch is monitoring around the lake and campgrounds.  37,010 acres have burned.
