The Community is out full force for all firefighters battling the Black Forest Fire. Here you can easily see them cheering them on at a local road block manned by Law Enforcement.
Firefighters below are working on extinguishing a stump hole.
Fire in the trees is crowning. This is definitely not what you want to see and is very dangerous for firefighters on the front lines.
A National Guard unit is seen spraying water, assisting with firefighting efforts.
This clearly shows the fire behavior during the beginning of the fire.
A very large smoke column can be seen in the distance. This is definitely too close for comfort and to local thriving communities.
This photo is that of the Flame Front. I must commend the photographer who took this shot, in how brave he was. This is some serious wall of fire – very specatular!
