Lightning is at it again starting new fires all over the wilderness in various states.
Five new fires were started in California. Fire crews are working to suppress them. Any large fire will appear on http://www.inciweb.org’s website.
Here are the current new fires by name:
9/613 – 0857 Hours: Poopout – near Poopout Hill – San Gorgonio Wilderness. Single snag. Dipping out of Jenks Lake.
0858 Hours: Grinnell – near Grinnell Mtn – San Gorgonio Wilderness. Single snag. Dipping out of Jenks Lake.
0954 Hours: Sugarloaf2 – SW of Sugarloaf Mtn. 20×20 ground fire holding in a rocky area.
1324 Hours: Bertha – 1/2 mile from Bertha Peak. Single juniper on fire with low potential for movement – helicopter will be dipping out of Stanfield Marsh.
9/7/13 1319 Hours: Jenks – near Jenks Lake. .01 fire is contained.
The fires are being suppressed by fire engines, hand crews and water drops.
