Approximately two hours ago, a Command unit was dispatched to a Commercial structure fire located at 858 Meeker Avenue seeing flames from approximately one-mile away. Command reported heavy fire in the lumber.

A 3rd alarm was called about 45 minutes ago with approximately two minutes going by and a 4th alarm was called. Foam operations were put into place but a 5th alarm was called about 20 minutes later.
Live footage around 1204 Hours West Coast time shows the heavy fire and smoke near the freeway. This is off of Varick in Brooklyn.
Multiple Tower Ladders and Hand Lines are still in use.
The temps are currently -9below and still dropping. Things are freezing and firefighters are struggling. More manpower is assisting.
