Fire now at 1200 acres with 5% containment.  | Fire continues to burn actively with strong winds. | Cause is under investigation.

Fire Located at Village Drive and Twin Oaks Road, San Marcos.

EVACUATIONS IN PROGRESS****

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Office issued a mandatory evacuation order for the areas of QUESTHAVEN, HARMONY GROVE, parts of ELFIN FOREST in SAN MARCOS and neighboring UNINCORPORATED of the County.

An evacuation shelter is located at Mission Hills High School located at 1 Mission Hills Court.
