Arizona | A fire broke out on April 18, 2015  around 1200 hours when it was reportedly burning on private land spreading over to nearby Coronado National Forest in Carter Canyon just above the town of Summerhaven.  The fire was caused by human and is under investigation.

The fire has been limited to a small area of 4.6 acres with a 20% containment.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

A Type 3 IMT arrived and assumed command today.  Interagency resources along with forty [40] firefighters are on the fireground with the aid of multiple water bucket drops from over head from air support.  Currently resources remain at five [5] Engines, two [2] water tenders, one [1] helicopter and one [1] 20-person handcrew with another on order and various overhead fire management are on scene.

Firefighters fought fire in brush and heavy dead and down fuels.

Mount Lemon Highway is still closed at MP 0.  No ETA has been released as to when the roadway will reopen.

Fire Managers say firefighters will continue with heavy mop up throughout the night.
