INCIDENT SUMMARY
A wildfire named Triple 2 began from an unknown activity caused by human intervention for starting a fire within Mexico and crossing over the US-Mexican border on May 10th around. The fire was last being monitored by the Bomberos (Mexican Firefighters) and in patrol status on the American side.
On May 16, 2016, another fire was detected approximately at 1430 hours when it crossed over again the U.S border. It is located one mile West of the Triple 2 Wildfire area and grown significantly reaching a high point today in consuming up to 700 acreage at the time of this post. It appears this could be just an extension of the original wildfire that broke out in Mexico.
We have sent out a request to inciweb to see if these are truly two fires in one location or separate fires coming from the Mexican side and crossing over the border . We have received a response yet.
RESOURCES
Assigned to this incident are 180 personnel including six crews and 3 helicopters.
Helicopters are dipping out of the Pena Blanca Lake and dropping water over the fire to assist ground fire crews.
CONDITIONS
Winds are coming the SW and increased to a high of 20 m.p.h.
DAMAGE ASSESSMENT
There is no report on any homes/communities under threat, destroyed or damaged. In addition we do not have a listing if any injuries have been reported.
No evacuations are in progress at this time.

The Fire Season has been fairly business on the Coronado National Forest in Arizona and here is a list of recently compiled fires that have occurred in the last several months.
