Incident Summary
The #BertFire ignited by lightning on May 28th around 1600 Hours is being allowed to move naturally, as if it were a Prescribed Fire. The fire is located at the junction of Forest Service Road 114 and Hwy 180, approximately 10 miles SE of Valley Community on the Kaibib National Forest.
It is currently burning Pinyon and Juniper.

The fire is being managed by ICs Quentin Johnson and Mike Uebel, ICT3T.
Resources
Assigned to this incident are 79 personnel.
Fire Status
The fire is currently listed at 1531 acres and moving naturally within its fire perimeter. Crews have completed burnout operations along Hwy 180 to the APS power lines and will continue to extend the depth in the Northern and Eastern perimeters.
Weather Forecast
The winds are expected to move NE and then do a complete reverse to the SW.
