Nationally according to the NW Interagency Coordination Center, Saturday’s SitRep is as follows:

  • 149 new fires reported (Initial Light attack activity)
  • 7 are reported as New Large Incidents
  • 7 large fires have been contained
  • 14 uncontained fires continue to burn
  • 1 NIMO is committed along with 2 Type 1 IMTs and 5 Types 2 IMTs

Fires that have occurred in each Region is as follows:

  • Southern California Region  – 17 new fires, 2 new large incidents, 5 uncontained fires.
  • Northern California Region – 31 new fires and 2 uncontained fires.
  • Northern Rockies Region (Montana) – 10 new fires, 1 new large incident and 2 not contained fires.
  • Rocky Mountain Region (South Dakota, Colorado) – 6 new fires, and 1 not contained.
  • Great Basin Region (Utah, Nevada ) – 26 new fires and 2 not contained fires.
  • Southwest Region (Arizona, New Mexico)- 13 new fires, 2 large incidents and 1 not contained fire.
  • Eastern Region (West Virginia) – 4 new fires.
  • Southern Region (Florida) – 35 new fires, 2 new large incidents.
  • Northwest Region (Oregon, Washington, Idaho)- 14 new fires, 1 not contained.
  • Alaska Region (Alaska) – 3 new fires.
