INCIDENT SUMMARY

The Palouse Falls Fire (unofficial name we dubbed it) was said to be ignited by lightning from a storm that had passed through the area.  The fire is located at Palouse Falls inside Palouse Falls State Park (in Lacrosse, Washington) around 1400 hours (when we received the fire tip).  The Park has since been closed due to fire activity.

The fire is said to be at an unofficial 1,000 acres, as Fire crews work in steep terrain to fight the fire.

RESOURCES

Franklin County Fire District #2 responded to the scene, reporting a very large fire and called for Mutual Aid from Franklin County Fire District #1 and nearby Washtucna Fire Department.  No other resources known on-scene.
