Bear Butte – 20 miles Baker City, OR

Started 8/4/2017.  Unknown cause. 499 acres. Unknown containment status. 48 structures threatened. 184 personnel. 4 crews. 2 helos. 6 engines. USDA FS. Mop up operations, fire secured. CTD is $5.1 Million.

Belnap – 20 miles NE of Prineville, OR

Started 8/11/2017. Lightning caused. 123 acres. 5% contained. 31 single-family homes, 33 mixed/commercial structures, 90 minor structures are threatened. 83 personnel. 3 crews. 3 engines. Timber Brush. USDA Forest Service.

Bridge Creek – 12 miles NE Keller, WA

Started 8/9/2017. Lightning caused. 1,343 acres. 22% contained. USDA Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). Transitioned from Mt. Tolman Fire Ctr. to NW IMT Team 6. ICP at Keller Community Center. 454 personnel. 10 crews. 2 helicopters. 20 engines. CTD $3.5 Million.

Chetco Bar – Kalmiopsis Wilderness, OR

Started 7/12/2017. Unknown cause. 6,016 acres. 14% contained. Structures threatened. Timber, brush and closed timber litter. USDA Forest Service. 72 personnel. 2 crews. 1 helicopter. CTD $2.3 Million.

Diamond Creek – 27 miles NNW of Winthrop, WA

28,143 acres. 8% contained. Timber, brush. 2 single-family homes, 2 minor structures threatened. Active fire behavior with long-range spotting, uphill crowning, fast rate of spread. Expected to spread to the South and NW. 340 personnel. 7 crews. 5 helos. 18 engines. CTD $4.5 Million.

East Saddle Mtn Fire – 10 miles W of Othello, WA

Started 8/12/2017. Unknown cause. 17,465 acres. 95% contained. Brush, timber. Structures threatened, 1 minor damaged. USDI Fish & Wildlife Services. 136 personnel. 13 engines. $397,000 CTD.

Falcon Complex – 25 miles East of Tiller, OR

Started 8/8/2017. Lightning caused. 1,100 acres. 12% contained. 5 structures (SFR) and 15 minor structures threatened. Biggest fires Upper Ash Flat (382 acres) Buckskin (50 acres), Double Buck (161 acres), Paradise (189 acres), Pup (73 acres), Tallow (84 acres) and Windy Gap  (18 acres).  Timber. 503 personnel. 11 crews. 5 helicopters. 22 engines.  USDA FS. NW IMT team 8. 5 single-family residences (SFR) and 15 minor structures are threatened. CTD $3.6 Million.

Ferry Canyon – 7 miles WNW of Grass Valley, OR.

Started 8/12/2017. Lightning caused. 500 acres. 100% contained. USDI BIA. 1 person. Tall grass and brush.  Unknown CTD.

Headwater – 25 miles North of Goldendale, WA

Started on 8/12/2017 from unknown cause & under investigation. 87 acres. 60% containment. Timber (grass/understory). WA DNR. 220 personnel. 8 crews. 3 helos. 13 engines. Unknown CTD.

High Cascades Complex – 9 miles NE of Prospect, OR

Started 8/12/2017. Lightning caused. 10,447 acres. 60% contained. Timber. Threatened are 15 SFR, 14 multiple residences, 10 mixed used commercial/residential. 13 non-residential commercial properties and 20 minor structures.  USDA Forest Service. 1,030 personnel. 31 crews, 24 engines and 7 helos. Fires included are Spruce Lake (5,043 acres), Blanket (5,292 acres), Silent (2 acres), Butte (5 acres), Sherwood (5 acres), Broken Lookout (32 acres), Roundtop (10 acres) and Needle (8 acres).

Hult Butte – 6 miles West of Vantage, WA

Started 8/13/2017. Human caused (caused not released). WA DNR. 500 acres. 100% contained.  Structures threatened. 0 resources on the fire incident.

Indian Creek – Eagle Creek Trail System, OR

Started 7/4/2017. Unknown cause. 83 acres. 10% containment. USDA Forest Service. Timber. Structures threatened. 66 personnel. 1 crew. 2 helicopters. CTD $2.3 Million.

Jolly Mtn – 13 mles NW of Cle Elum, WA

8/11/2017 start date. Lightning caused. Unknown acreage.  0% containment status. 500 SFRs, 13 commercial/residential and 50 minor structures are threatened. Timber. 238 personnel. 6 crews. 4 helicopters. 12 engines. CTD $1.2 Million.

Jones – 10 miles NE of Lowell, OR

8/10/2017 started. Lightning caused. 2,581 acres. 10% contained. Timber. USDA Forest Service. 4 SFR and 1 minor structures are threatened. 540 personnel. 18 crews. 2 helos. 15 engines. $1.6 Million CTD.

Miller Complex – 17 miles East of Cave Junction, OR

Started 8/14/2017. Rogue River – Siskiyou NF. Made up of 20 individual fires. Lightning caused. 1,210 acres. 6% containment. USDA Forest Service. 7 minor structures threatened. Biggest fire Burnt Peak (300 acres) and Creedence (800 acres).  Fire behavior is active with uphill runs, creeping and smoldering. 153 personnel. 3 crews. 7 engines. CTD $400,000.

Milli – 9 miles West of Sisters, OR

Started 8/11/2017 from an unknown cause. Located in Three Sisters Wilderness and about 1.5 miles SW of Black Crater Lake. Fire behavior is moderate with spotting and group torching. 206 personnel. 9 crews. CTD $200,000.

Monument HIll – 4 miles NE of Quincy, WA

Started 8/16/2017. WA Fire Service. Cause under investigation. 500 acres. 0% containment. Tall grass and brush. Unknown resources. 50 SFR, 25 non-res commercial structures under threat. Unknown CTD.

MR 3 Sisters Central – Point, OR

Limited information. 15 acres. Started 8/10/2017. Lightning started.

Nena Springs – 7 air miles NE of Simnasho/NE Boundary of Warm Springs Indian Reservation, OR

Started 8/8/2017. USDA BIA. Grass, timber, dormant brush. 39,526 acres.  Human caused. 1 SFR and 3 minor structures damaged.  6 SFR and 4 minor structures destroyed.  Unified Command:  NW 12 IMT and OSFM.  299 personnel. 6 crews. 3 helos. 6 engines. CTD $4 Million.

Noisy Creek – 33 miles from Colville, WA

Started 8/11/2017.   Lightning caused. 4,000 acres. 64% contained. 3 SFR structures threatened. Timber. USDA Forest Service. 142 personnel. 4 crews. 1 helo and 3 engines. CTD $5.2 Million.

Norse Peak – 11 miles West of Cliffdell, WA

Started 8/11/2017. Lightning caused. 500 acres. 0% containment status. Timber.  USDA Forest Service. 30 personnel. 1 crew. 2 engines. 6 SFR threatened.  Unknown CTD.

Point-of-Interest

A single RC-26 aircraft and support personnel from the 162nd Fighter Wing, (Arizona Air National Guard) has been deployed to Mahlon Sweet Field (Eugene, OR) in support of wildland fire operations. – NWICC

North Pole – 8 miles East of Shaniko, OR

8/13/2017 start date.  Lightning caused. 5,075 acres. 100% containment. USDI BLM . 17 personnel. 5 engines.  CTD $50,000.

Rebel – 13 miles South of McKenzie Bridge, OR

Started unknown. 1,051 acres. 0% containment status. Moderate fire behavior with isolated torching, flanking and backing. 4 SFR threatened. USDA Forest Service. 202 personnel. 6 crews. 11 engines. Unknown CTD.

Shan Creek – 10 miles West of Grants Pass, OR

Started 8/10/2017. Lightning. 400 acres. 20% containment. 12 SFR and 1 minor structure threatened. Timber, logging slashing. USADA Forest Service. 162 personnel. 4 crews.  11 engines. MT2.  $1,000 CTD.

Staley – 23 miles South of Oakridge, OR

Started 8/10/2017. Wilamette NF. 257 acres. 0% containment. Moderate fire behavior with isolated torching, long and short-range spotting. Timber, brush. Structures threatened. 174 personnel. 5 crews. 6 engines. $326,0000 CTD.

Umpqua North Complex – 50 miles East of Roseburg, along Hwy 138, OR

Started 8/11/2017. Cause under investigation. unknown acres. Fire behavior is active with crowning, torching and uphill runs.  36 SFR, 21 non- residential commercial and 30 minor structures threatened.  USDA Forest. 443 personnel. 12 crews. 5 helos. 21 engines. Unknown CTD.

Whitewater – 15 miles East of Detroit, OR

Started 7/23/2017. Lightning ignited. made up multiple fires.  6,716 acres. no  status on containment known. 113 SFR, 1 commercial/residential, 2 non-residential commercial, 46 minor structures threatened. Timber, brush. USDA Forest. Also managing Rebel (1,051 acres), Little Devil (76 ares), Avenue (acres unknown), Box Canyon (acres unknown), French (1,051 acres).  443 personnel. 12 crews. 5 helicopters. 21 engines.
